Please, find it in your heart to forgive me for what I must do.
Don't let it cloud your mind with doubts of my love for you.

Some may have attempted to convince you otherwise, from the start.
But you cannot deny I gave all of me, the whole of my heart.

When you needed space, I obliged; like the daylight at dusk I'd disappear.
Then when you had satisfied what had called you away, your voice I'd hear.

I did not ever crowd your space but left you free to be who you are.
I held you tight when you're in my arms and loved you no less when you're afar.

You once said it wasn't your foolin'round but the miles between that would be our end.
Though taken aback, I said nothing then and neither of those will I now contend.

Rather I'll cry myself a puddle and keep loving you more than you'll ever know.
For your happiness sake, a favor I'll do and like shadows at sunset, off I go.
Hate me, if you must. :(
